01/09/09: CIMS-2 Team announces Training Opportunities

Friday, January 09, 2009

The CIMS-2 Project Team is pleased to announce a flexible, modular, and multi-modal approach to training for the rollout of CIMS-2.

Training activities for CIMS-2 will be based on the 2009 Annual Performance Report (APR) and State Performance Plan (SPP) indicator data. Locals will be assigned one of three training categories: Alpha (all compliance indicators in compliance), Beta (one compliance indicator out of compliance), or Gamma (two or more compliance indicators out of compliance).

Regional training opportunities (Alpha & Beta): 4-hour regional, in-person training sessions for group Alphas, and 8-hour regional, in-person sessions for group Betas will be scheduled for the months of February and March 2009.

Webinars (Alpha & Beta): Alpha and Beta training will also be offered in a Webinar format for those who are unable to attend a regional in-person event. Webinars will be scheduled for the months of February and March 2009. These recorded events will also be available on the cenmi.org/cims website for downloading at a later time.

1.5-Day Workshop (Gamma only): Gamma trainees are invited to participate in one of two 1.5-day workshops during the month of March. These workshops are scheduled for March 10–11 at the Dearborn Hyatt and March 31–April 1 at the Grand Rapids Crowne Plaza.

We have analyzed the draft SPP data and expect to release a list of candidates for Alpha, Beta, and Gamma trainings the week of January 20, 2009.

These groupings will be finalized in early February after submission of the 2009 APR. At that time, formal invitations will confirm training assignments and more details about the training will be provided.
